Down Lieutenancy
The Lord-Lieutenant Gawn Rowan Hamilton attended the annual awards ceremony of the 2nd (NI) Battalion Army Cadet Force. This event recognises the achievements of Army Cadets and Adult Volunteers. Her Majesty The Queen, visited Banbridge Library on 21st March 2025. Welcomed by Vice Lord-Lieutenant Catherine Champion, Her Majesty was introduced to the Chairperson of Libraries NI, Ms Bonnie Anley, and went on to join a children’s story session. She discussed her favourite books with members of the library’s Reading Group, and talked with members of the Craft and Chatter Group.
